i am a 59 year old woman. i have crohn's disease which is well controlled. i am being treated for iron deficiency anemia. over the past three or four weeks, i have had two 300 mg. iron infusions, plus twice daily oral iron. i am due to be re-tested for iron in four days. last weekend, after my second infusion, i felt great. this weekend i feel weak again like before....lethargic, short of breath and a slight headache. i was pretty active during the past week since i felt better. is this a normal pattern for recovery? thank you for your help!
