Can anyone help me ID this bug? I found a live one near my sofa, and some dead ones around my bed. At first I was horrified, thinking they were bed bugs, but they don't look like the images I've found online.

Anyone recognize this guy? (that is college-ruled paper, not wide ruled)

It's hard to tell exactly what species or even the family, but at least it is not a bed bug. You definitely have a beetle (order Coleoptera). It could possibly be a drugstore beetle, as I think I see a match with the antennae segments. It could also be a cigarette beetle. Both of these beetles are often found in homes. They are pantry pests.

(I'm not definite on the species ID, though, as I would want to examine it under a microscope to be sure.)
