Hi,
My charge was theft under and fradulent use of credit card
I was offered of Diversion program and was ordered by court to complete 25 hours of community service.
I will be done by coming Sunday, and will submit the document on Monday.
The problem I have is that I will be leaving Canada on Tuesday and in order to get to my destination, I will need to transfer an airplane at Detroit.
Will I be rejected by US customs because of my 'officialy' unfinished diversion and having charge on me?

Yes, you will not be allowed to enter the US. You may not be allowed to enter after you finish diversion. It depends on the charge, what level.

Yes, Homeland Security could hold you and ship you back on the next plane.

Depends on whether he/she has to go through security. If changing planes, it's possible that won't be necessary.

Right, good catch. If he doesn't go through security a second time AND makes it through when he boards in Canada, he'll be all right.

If he has to go through security a second time, of course, the odds are higher.

Good catch - I didn't think in terms of staying on the plane.
