I was (may still be) on probation in CT for a (kind of) DUI. I was due to end probation in Sept and the 6mths before that were unsupervised. But I never did do my community service. Yes, I am stupid for that. But I am planning to fly out of JFK in NY on Wednesday in order to see my 80yr old grandfather in the hospital and my mom with a stage 3 cancer. As far as I know there is no VOP warrant for me nor an order to jail me. I searched my states website for it. Since CT requires you to find your own community service and provide proof yourself, and since I have not heard a single word from probation about me providing proof I think I am OK. But will airline security or the TSA stop me? Does anyone know the odds of me being arrested on trying to board the plane? I am too scared to call probation as I have never been in trouble before and do not want to draw attention to myself. Please help!

If there is a warrant for your arrest, there is a very good chance you will be arrested either leaving or returning on the airline. ( or at least detained)

You need to go to a police station and have a criminal background check done. Most warrants do not show up just from web searches. Esp VOP warrants.

Also why not get it over with, contact the PO and see if the case is closed or if you still owe community service. Do you want to end up losing a job over being arrested for this.
Be on the way to the hospital of a love one and be stopped and arrested.

Good points all. CT has VOP warrants on their website so I thought I'd be listed. Fear kept me from calling probation. Just fear. If I call probation and say I'm someone else, like an employer checking think they will tell me? And yes, I want it over with and was stupid not to do the service. Thanks.
