I'm having trouble logging in to windows . I'm putting the right password in and cap lock is off. How can I reset it ?

What version of windows? Do you have the OS disk? Do you know the paqssowrd for the Admin account?

Xp,no its a refurb cpu, it wont let me put admin passwor in either. I do see there is an arrow with the number 1 in it. Do you know what that means?

If you say you are putting in the right password I assume you got that from the previous owner, I would contact them and ask the question. Other than that you may need to reinstall the OS making sure you have a valid OS key.
