Hi Everyone,

I would appreciate any help sent to me regarding this scenerio problem.

I have an older IPC computer wire router linked to a newer Dell computer. My Epson color 660 printer is on the older IPC computer set up. I just received a message on the older IPC ( celleron processor - Windows 98 version ) that I needed to reinstall Windows. I have the original 98 rom to reinstall. I tried doing this and it ran then quit. Nothing was fixed. My desktop icons on the older IPC disappeared then I got an error message that reads - a required .DLL file, C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEMS\MSVCRT.DLL was not found.

I see on the web that one can go to a site and perhaps repair this on line but I cannot do this as by the time my IPC celleron take its time to load my icons to go to the site, the error message arrives and takes away all my desk top connection icons. I as well can not print on my printer when work is done on my newer Dell and I hit print.

HELP! Thank you for anyone's earliest reply as to HOW to fix this on my older IPC?? Or should I say bye bye to the older computer. Have a nice day everone.

Hi

I think I will be of some use to you as I have been in tech support for dell for almost 4 yrs I use to trouble shoot via voice as I am based in india may be we must have come across sometime my nick was mason at that time well not wasting any of your more time the best you can do is that download the file MSVCRT.DLL you can visit Google (http://www.google.com) type MSVCRT.DLL and just down load the file on a floopy or pen drive and I think that will slove the problem and your PC would work fine this problem is caused a sthe cd which your trying to install I mean I suppose your formated the comp and trying to re-installed and the windows cd is bad in case this does not work fell free and I will just check if there is any other way but I don't see a reason why it will not tc
