I am on a forum and I am having to deal with a clown who has found out my name and he has posted that name as his forum name so I see my nic and also my name posted. I complained to the forum god and he says that is okay, what is your problem? Is there anyway to get rid of the clown or for me to change my information?

As it is their site then it's their rules.
Did you fully explain the situation ?
If it's merely a case of someone using your real name, then in all honesty I can see the admin point of view.

What did you have in mind ?
Simple not acknowledging them normally works well as trolls thrive on (negative) attention

When you say you "see your nic" posted do you mean he has listed your NIC's MAC address, or its IP address? Assuming you are using a connection through an ISP chances are that your IP address is dynamic and will change over time (unless you have special arrangements with your ISP to have a static IP address). But it's hard to answer your question without more specifics.

It does have a serious side the person doing this has it in for me. Just want all to know if I wind up dead, that is who did it.

I received an email response telling me that I can change my ISP address with FireFox but I am unable to see that message, only that a response is available.

By not responding, that is what I have done and so far they have lost interest.

The post that you're talking about was removed as the guy who posted it was... well, he wasn't who he seemed to be. Lol. I saw his post last night and use Firefox myself, and I don't see how what he said was possible.

I concur... there was no possible way to do it as they claimed. Firefox is just one of 4 different browsers I use regular.
