I am considering of getting a rook piercing, but I am frightened by the large amount of cartilage. And since it's in a tight spot, I am wondering what the easiest way to clean it, would be?

They aren't too excruciating but they take FOREVER to heal and its a rather painful healing process.

I got my rook pierced about a week ago, the piercing itself is more pressure than pain grant it is uncomfortable. It does however throb if you sleep or role onto that side of your head when you sleep. I have found the best way to clean the piercing is by using 2 cotton balls, one to go in your ear canal and the other soaked in saltwater and sat on the piercing. Don't be surprised if the pain subsides the second day and returns the fifth. Best of Luck on your piercing!
