I have two ring neck parrots we just recently purchased we have never bred birds before and have been doing a lot of reading up on how to breed them we have a nest box for her but are wondering what the rituals the birds go through before actually mating we have causght many different things and watch them closely as he feeds her sometimes by bringing food to her and when he is out of the cage sitting on the top we leave the door open for her to come out with him but she won't she goes crazy inside pacing the cage and making noises. Are these normal habits for these types of birds when mating?

With my ringnecks the females are very jealous and will act this way when their partner is not right with them.also the females are notorius for eating or killing their young so keep a good watch when they finally hatch their eggs.
