There are 4 big windows 36 Wide x74 Ht without any columns connecting them together.
It looks like they are joined in some way. See picture. Have you seen a window layout

It's hard to tell from your picture how many inches across the wood. With a big enough beam across the top, sure, the windows might have been mulled, with no vertical supports between them.
