Suggestions for creating web content that will be at the top of the ranking when my name is searched?
Would you suggest creating Blogs? Or websites with my name? Or?

Check out Google webmaster tools (https://www.google.com/webmasters/tools/), also research writing meta tags. Remember that Google also craws social media if you post make sure that you link back or that your sig has a link to your site.
