I naturally have dirty blonde hair as it has been getting slightly darker the last few years. I had highlights and was letting my hair grow out. I recently dyed my hair 2 shades darker than my natural color because my stylist said it would fade into my color. I really like that color it has faded into, however, it is a light golden brown, and with my roots growing in, it looks terrible, kind of like a skunk. I want to know how to get it back to my natural color as that was what I was aiming for to begin with. Should I strip the color? Or get some more highlights and let it gradually grow out again after that?

you could strip it but thats really bad for your hair. the best thing would be to keep doing highlights and and lighten it every few weeks. i would go to your hairdresser.
