Hi In am using a compaq laptop from two years but now it getting so hot sometimes(cooling fan is running properly)
what can I do?

my wife bought a stand for hers ,
it holds it at an angle and has a fan on it ,hers would get hot and shut off .
She says it works fine now.

Also make sure you blow out the vents as they do get easily clogged with household dust and dirt.
Easily done with a tin of compressed air, available from most electrical shops..
