I have an ancient computer running windows '95. The mouse is broken, but I don't think there is a replacement available. It is the kind that is real wide and plugs into the back of the computer using 2 screws. One at each end. The only thing I want the computer for is to get a lot of pictures off it, but I don't know how. Any help will be very much appreciated. I would throw it away, but I am afraid someone could get a lot of personal info from it.

What you need is a mouse with a serial connection. You can look at most stores that sell mice and find one. Or if you have a ps/2 mouse (rounded connector) you can buy a ps/2 to serial adapter. Or if your computer has a ps/2 port just use a ps/2 mouse.

Hope this helps!
