I just bought a Microsoft Lifechat LX-3000 Headset Mic. Is this useable as an ordinary mic headset or is it dedicated to Life Chat? Can't seem to get it to work. It has a USB connector.

if it has a usb connector then the computer is probably not programmed to allow access to hear sound. i think it would have to have a headphone connector
