Help...its getting cold!! First off...air was blowing cold so i checked the fuses in the furnace...saw that one had blown and that two wires were melted on the contact switch. Spliced the wires and reconnected and the blower and heating coils worked, but when the thermostat reached the set temp, the blower stopped but the heating coils stayed on and you could smell it, so i had to turn it off by switching off the two breakers by the blower. I went and replaced the contact and put all the wires how they were originally, now the blower doesnt work at all!!! all it does is humm and the heating coils still come on. when i switch the breakers off the fan "jerks" a little. Is the motor blown???? What went wrong?? Please help!! Thank you.
