Recently during sex i have been getting some odd, sharp pains. It seems to be in my upper pelvic region usually on the left side. Now, my boyfriend thankfully has a very large penis so i do sometimes get sore and have pain when he gets too deep but this is different from anything i've felt. I'm scared it could be a sign of an std or something else...could it be?

You should see your Gyno, I had very severe pain during intercourse for years, I finally was diagnosed with HPV, endometriosis, uterine hyperplasia, and cyst on my ovaries. If you are having bleeding also after sex or very heavy periods you should get checked. It could be nothing but it's worth being checked.

You could have Pelvic Inflammatory Disease, you could have endometriosis, you could have a whole list of things but you will not know unless you see a GYN specialist. Pain is not normal so I hope you get checked asap.

I think you have retroverted uterus... Don't you worry almost all women have this kind of situation. Try to do some research about it...

I had pain during intercourse a few years ago. Found that I had a bacterial infection. Got rid of the infection but the pain persisted. My GYN told me to relax, use vibrators if needed, lots of foreplay. He said to simply have more sex. Well, it worked! My husband, too, has a very large penis, so we have to use lots of foreplay every time or it will hurt. See your GYN to find out what's going on, and have more sex (once you know what's causeing the pain).

i also have been suffering for years now and iv have had tests and tests and tests, i also had a laproscopic operation to see if there was anything wrong, they could not find any cause, and my ovaries are healthy.
I had sex 2 days ago and tried to breathe deeper to relax my muscles, but no joy its like sharp shooting pains, almost like i being cut.
I also suffer from reoccuring water infection, what do i do?

Well I have also had pains but they are on my right side during and after sex and it lasts for days to a week. I'm also not suppose to get my period until the end of the month. I've had them before a couples years ago but that was due to going "too deep". But my boyfriend now has a large penis but it doesn't hurt when he goes deep until we get into certain positions. This pain is horrible I'm having them right now and I had sex last night between 10-11 p.m. It hurts to move and breath, I can't sleep and I get these cold-sweats and I feel like I'm about to give birth though I've have never had children. Please I need help. My boyfriend and I are very worried this is not normal.
