How many days past ovulation can a home pregnancy test be positive?

The true answer to that question is as individual as each of us women are since our hormones rise and fall at different rates. The best rule of thumb is to wait until you have missed or are late for your next period.

Also, when taking the test at home remember to use first morning urine as the concentration of hCG (pregnancy hormone) is highest in the morning.
