My best friend was 15 when she had her baby boy. Hes two months now and she's pregnant again. Two days after her baby daddy "did it" with her, he left her. That was about a week ago. She's been throwing up and took a pregnancy test, which came out positive. I'm 14 and I'm willing to adopt her baby. But they say I'm too young. Can me and her go to court to make me her unborn baby's legal guardian?

How do you plan to care for a child, pay for what it needs, and still go to school, etc.

As far as I know, you'd have to be at least 18 for a guardianship. Please tell us which state you live in, as that information is vital to give you the exact answer.

No, sorry. Who is her parent or guardian? Who is yours?

I live in Texas. And my grandparents are very wealthy and have enough money for support. And when it comes to school my mothers friend doesn't work and babysits a lot. And if that doesn't work, I wouldn't mind homeschool if that's what it leads to.

You cannot adopt until you are a legal adult yourself--in ANY state.

You wouldn't even pass the home study, as you do not have income of your own.

I would still encourage your friend to consider adoption, but through an agency where adults who have been screened and who have the income to support a child are already waiting for a child.

Accounts are never deleted on this site. Have you reported this email problem? Who is emailing you? Are you the 14 y/o with the guardianship question? Or did a family member use your computer and set up a profile for this site?

I can understand that at 14 it can be confusing, and yes I know that you are most likely having a second though about what you posted since it can be goggled, but that is why we use screen names that can not ID us. And nothing in your post can id you for you.

I do respect your mature nature for wanting to help raise this child, but sorry at 14 legally there is nothing you can do.

Also please lying about your account not only causes us more trouble, having to look at your report, searching IP addresses to see who posted what.

And to be honest had you merely asked nicely and honestly, you get a lot more done often.

I have reviewed this and see that all posts come from the same service provider ( roadrunner) and from the same area. So it is obviously you that made the posts
