before we were married I had alot of debt that is not paid.I'm not aware of any judgements but if there are can these creditors take my husbands tax refund if we file jointly?I do not work outside of the home and have no income.

Your husband can keep anyone from touching the refund by filing Form 8379 (Injured Spouse Allocation). Since he makes all the money, the refund will be allocated completely to him.
