I live in a rural setting...a low grade humming is driving me crazy...had the electric company come and turn off my transformer, and still had the 'sound'....they put in a new meter and suggested I get my hearing checked (thanks alot)....keeps me awake at night and even during the days it seems to bounce around inside me, in my bones, my head. Sometimes it pulses....can hear it in my yard....inside my house it seems to vibrate even louder...
Called Army Corps of Engineers and they led me to this site but had no 'suggestions' for me....someone, please help!

Just curious, before you run off and get your hearing checked, are you running any all night security lights for the outside of your home.

I had a Mercury Vapor bulb that was failing and it just hummed its little heart away right outside of the bedroom window.

Since it was controlled by a "Light Sensitivity", it only occurred at night and drove us nuts until I replaced the bulb.

Good luck.
