Why would someone write a song for you when songwriters publish their own music and get paid for it?

No one here is going to write a song for you for free.

I'm not sure what you are asking, though. You write your own songs but you need someone to write lyrics for you?

You write the music and now you need the lyrics?

Or something else - ?
