My boyfriend and I have a 7 month old son.We live together but we are not married. Who should claim my son or does it matter? Would one of us get more than the other? If it's the same for both of us do you know how much it is for one dependant?

Lisa:

As parents, you BOTH have a legal right to claim your son. Only one of you CAN claim him, though.

I suggest you prepare your returns both ways to determine who gets the maximum benefit.
