Sister's neighbor was arrested on multiple felony charges...can't bail out, and has 11 month old child that no one is available to care for her. What happens to child? MY SISTER (MOTHER'S NEIGHBOR) is temporarily looking after child, but is unemployed and can't afford to care for child for longer than weekkend.

Someone has to phone social services so the child can go in Foster care and be cared for properly. How did this fact go unnoticed by the authorities. Normally the child is taken away to Foster care immediately, not left with a 'neighbour'.

The baby would automatically go into child services care until they either find foster parents or their biological parents would have to prove themselves good parents to the court of law by taking parenting classes, drug classes if on any and maintain a good record with the law.

As far as the baby being in the neighbors care.. She can easily take him/her into any police department or fire station to give him up and explain the situation.

Agree, the friend that is looking for the child, needs to call social services since they don't have a legal right to be watching the child.

The child's father, if he has a legal right to the child may be contacted
