Hi,

I have always been kind of self-conscious about my speech. I have been told that I sound laid back and not very confident. No one really likes talking to me because I slur and don't seem to speak normally.

However, when I bring my chest up high (even to the point of possible bad posture due to arched back), I feel confident and without any effort I speak so clear. It's like all these years, it wasn't bad english, but more about my body posture. Now I have no clue why this is the case, though I believe it has to do with my body opening up.

Any thoughts on how I can take advantage of this discovery? Thanks

See a speak therapist. They can give you details about your speaking patterns. Also you might want to look into singing lessons as that can help teach you control of breathing for speaking.
