We have found ourselves with a non-functioning tankless water system that is currently part of our furnace. We have decided to put in an indirect water heater (Superstor 45) but have been kicking around the replacement of our 21 year old furnace at the same time. Our contractor has recommended a Buderus boiler (G115/28) and a Riello F40 boiler. We have read some good things but have also been told recently that if the electronics goes, we only have a one year coverage on the part and it renders our whole system useless. We also gasped at the cost of the "system" (water/burner/boiler, piping, etc) and thought that $8500.+- seemed a little steep for out 2650 sq. ft. house (3 zones) and finished basement (1 zone that rarely comes on), but what do i know? We have heard prices in the $6000-6500 range for another brand (Weil McLean and Beckett Burner). I am somewhat familiar with both names. I have a Beckett Burner now and it has served me well for 21 years. I also have an annual service of my system and have since I built the home 21 years ago. Any comments/opinions would be greatly welcome
