They send the paperwork. It takes .021 seconds.

Are you worried that your children may have to wait to get their support because of government red tape?

Send a check through the mail or Fed X , U P S. directly to them and stop worrying.

I hope this helps.

A garnishment order duly executed in Florida can be served on an Illinois firm. However, many states (including FL and IL) have support collection agencies. So if your ex is working with them, they will probably work with their IL counterpart.

My question is why does this have to go as far as a garnishment to collect support? Why aren't you paying the Florida agency? I would not advise making direct payments to the ex if an agency has been involved though. Make your payments to the agency.

In many states today a garnishment order is automatic with a child support order. So long as the child support agency started the order.
