The movie I wanted opened at a quaint inn. A handsome man in uniform and beautiful woman went there to the inn to look at it. They were to go there on their honeymoon.

The man was called away to war.

The man return disfigured. There was no marriage because the woman didn't want to marry him any longer.

He went back to the inn and there was a plain woman (who was also there on his first viit) who he fell in love with. They both saw each other as the most beautiful people on earth (even though he was deformed and she was plain). They were shown as beautiful people too in the film.

Then some people came to the inn to visit them and they saw them as they were--the man defigured and the woman not so pretty. We finally saw them like that too. We only saw the characters as they saw themselves through the movie.

It was a beautiful movie. Does anyone know the title?
