i do not have a tax book and i have never done taxes before. i am working on my husbands state refund and cannot figure out what to do. i have no access to get a tax book this late. please help. i live in california and i am doing the 540a form. step 4 question 13abcdef what do i do? it asks for california income adjustments. (see instructions) there are none. a) is state income tax refund. how do i get that figure? please help.
