I worked for a company in USA. I then moved outside the country but worked for the same company on contract basis, working from abroad. So, I have two kinds of payments to show on the tax return next year, the amount I earned when I was inside the USA and the amount I earned from the same USA company but outside the USA.

Questions: 1) Is the second amount (earned outside the USA) tax free?
2) What form should I ask my employer to give me for this amount? 1099?
