Hi

I have a job offer from a US based company to work from Wilton, CT.

My annual emoluments would sum upto US $96000. I have no clue about the income tax regulations prevaliing in US.

I am expected to report in my office in a week's time.

Can somebody enlighten me in this regard. I would wish to know how much money I would have to shell out as tax totally.

Thanks in Advance.

You will owe federal income taxes in the 15-28% tax range, depending on your family situation (single, married, children, etc.) plus CT state income tax (not sure about CT's tax rate).

You will also pay 6.2% in Social Security tax and 1.45% in Medicare taxes.
