I was just wondering what all do I need to file my taxes because I have never filed on my own? And what of my childrens information do I need to file?

You will need your W-2 from your job for the wage data.

If you had a savings or checking account which earned more than $10 in interest, you will need the bank statement or Form 1099-INT to show the interest that account earned.

As for your children, you will need their legal first and last name and their Social Security numbers. If, for some reason, they do not have a SSN, contact the local office of Social Security Administration to see about getting them a SSN. You cannot claim them as a dependent without their SSN.

Because of the children, you will probably file Form 1040A.
