I find these droppings on my kitchen counters and I know they are not from mice. What else could they be?!

Can you describe it? Color, Shape, Size? All these would be helpful. If there is a grouping of little bitty black ones it could be fly eggs... If it is large brown and lumpy, then your dog might had got on the counter. I could help if I had more details. :)
