Our 3 yr. Old above ground pool is now leaking (most likely through the bottom drain). It is now October and we want to know if we should replace the liner, fill the pool & winterize it now or wait until spring? Our concern is that the pool may collapse during the winter, we are not sure if the top rails will keep the sides from collapsing.

How much water is remaining in the pool? There is no drain on the bottom of an above ground pool so please clarify what you meant.

About half of a 18x33x54" pool. Installed a main drain in lowest part of pool dug out to 7 feet. Do not plan on putting on winter cover as it would only fill with water and snow causing undue pressure to the sidewalls.
