I plug my Imation 8gb flashdrive into my PC and nothing happens. Have tried other PC's with same result. There appears to be no life in it. Any suggestions welcome.

If your computer or other computers fail to even recognise the thumb drive at all. Then its become nothing but a keychain decoration. Any utility that may be able to recover data requires a basic level of funtionality....IE being able to even see the drive when inserted.

THey don't last forever, I've had two die over the last several years, both were brands different than yours.
