Hi! I was scheduled to get my period on Sat. Took two tests both said I was pregnant and then I took another last night and one more this morning. The first two were digital and said pregnant other two were lines and they were there. Last nights was a bit fainter but it was there. Guess I'm still not completely believing it. But my husband and I are thrilled. We've been trying for 4 months. Because of the holidays I can't see my doctor for another two weeks. Hopefully someone can answer some of these.

1. I'm a huge hot tea drinker -- is caffeine free okay. What about splenda and sweet in low. I don't like sugar on coffee or tea so I use artifical sweetners and honey. Is this okay? What's too much?

2. Stomach cramping. Different from menstral cramps. Happens alot during the night. Also seems to be in combination after I eat. I've been nauscous but not throwing up. Normal?

3. Headaches and cramping what can I take if anything?

4. Can I drink Crystal light lemonade. What else should i be drinking besides water.

THANK YOU!!!

Well, it sounds as though congratulations are in order.

Now, for your questions.

1) I believe Splenda is okay, but you really need to stay away from artificial sweetners, no diet soft drinks, etc. Aspertame is an ingredient in many artificial sweetners and it can be very dangerous to you as well as your baby.

2) Yes, this is perfectly normal.

3) You can take Tylenol, but only if absolutley necessary.

4) You should be drinking lots of orange juice for the folic acid, milk, water. Crystal Light, I believe is okay, but you need to stay on the healthy side with fruit juices and whole milk.

Also, if you are not on prenatal vitamins you should run to your local pharmacy and pick some up.
