My tool bar is missing ( view-tools-history-bookmark-etc.,), can anyone please help me figure out how to fix this , I am using firefox , generally , and google chrome also , thank you

What you are talking about is called the Menu Bar. Try right-clicking on the Navigation toolbar somewhere between the icons (such as the circled area on the attached image), and checking "Menu Bar" in the resultant context menu that comes up. That should do it.

Update: Actually, I just tried it and you don't have to be between icons--just not on the forward/back button or URL area.

Press the "Alt" to view a hidden Menu bar then select View > Toolbars
