I have a sandbox 12 inches high. It's a hexagon 7' x 8'. I'm trying to figure the amount of cubic feet of sand that I will need.

Hi Rmastroleo...

For a square:

You need to convert the 12 inches to 1 foot

Then you simply multiply 1ft x 7ft x8ft = 56 cubic feet

Answer is 56 cubic feet (for a square box).

For a hexagon I would need the length of each side to tell you more....
