I am from ga and my husband recieived a child support dismissal without child support letter stating that his case has been dismissed, but several days later he got a letter stating that he needs to come to the local child support office and make a pymnt. We are not sure how to handle this situation and we need to know whether the child support is still owed? Can some help us?

First, its not a good idea to piggy back your question on someone else's. So I've moved your post to its own thread.

Where was the dismissal letter from? Why not go to the office with a copy of the letter and ask why they want a payment?

States have guidelines to determine how much a parent should pay for child support. Child support orders can be established by a court or by an administrative hearing process.
If your husband's case was dismissed by the judge because his support order was issued as a result of administrative process then he must pay

The DSHS Division of Child Support (DCS) may set and modify child support using the administrative process as a faster and less expensive alternative to the court process when there is no court order establishing the child support obligation. DCS may set child support for children whenever any parent asks for DCS services or whenever a child receives public assistance. If you disagree with a notice that DCS has sent you about your child support obligation, you have a right to hearing in Court.
