There is really no quick fix to this. If you have to take iron you need to eat more fiber and fruits. Dried apricots are a wonderful natural laxative.

There is no difference in the liquid or the pills.

Was the iron recommended by your doctor?

hello j_9, thanks for replying, actually i am taking B stress complex and it has 27 gram iron , iam just taking the vitamin like every one else, no prescription but i need iron any way i have very low iron so i thought this vitamine is good because it has iron, C and E vitamin. i took iron in the past from my doctor and it was the same effect and why exactly iron causes constipation?

I am assuming your doctor told you that you were low in iron. If not, what makes you believe that you are?

Try Ferro Sequels. They are iron pills with a stool softener. I know Walgreen's carries them but the one I go to has them behind the pharmacy counter because some pregnant women will steal them. They are great!
