I recently bought new wooden bedroom furniture that has a strong varnish or chemical smell. It have put bowels of coffee grinds inside the drawers and have kept the windows open. It's been 9 days and it still smells. How can I get rid of the smell?

Hi, janis.green!

Do the inside portions of the drawers have any type of finish on the inside and/or the outside of them at all, please? Even if it might be only a stain, that would still count as a finish.

Thanks!

Yes, they do have a finish inside and outside.
