I suffer from acne and sometimes it is just impossible to show my face in public.
I hope anybody have ideas how to cover it up (I tried make up, but it still noticeable to the naked eye).

what i did just to cover it a bit was get bangs because i have acne on my forehead

if you put concealer on then foundation it should cover it up.but to reduce redness put an ice cube in a paper towel and put it over your pimple but DONT keep there over a minute that will jsut irratate it.

Maybe you could have taken care of your face when u had the chance before. Trust me I was like eh F*** that and then when i got it coming i was like S*** and fixed it

I know you asked how to conceal acne, but you should concentrate on healing them first.

Have you tried different acne solutions? I know some people just have such bad acne they actually need the strong perscription stuff like Proactive. I hear that is expensive though, and for the worst acne... you have to watch your skin exposure to sun, be on birth control...etc. I am not positive of this..but its what I hear. If your acne is bad enough, you may want to look into talking to your doctor about prescription methods

I like to use Neutrogena, I have grown up with it and I depend on it completely. I use the Body Soap as well as the Rapid Clear treatment pads. The pads work great for wen you see a break out happening. They help stop breakouts and reduces them over night!

Now for when I do get pimples and dont want them to be as noticeable I actually use a nice makeup line called Bare Minerals. Its rather expensive, but very good for the skin since it is made of all natural minerals and its so mild on your skin you can sleep in it and not feel dirty...as I always felt when using other liquid concealers. Bare Minerals is all loose powders that do SO well at concealing and blending my skin. I will never go back to liquids or compacts.

Now I know you might not be able to afford the money to be buying expensive stuff, so why dont you try and go to the mall and ask one of the sales ladies at the make up counters to give you ideas of concealer for your complexion?

I used to use the liquid concealers on the pimples then use a compact powder to blend it all in, but looking back I dont think it did very good...haha.

I wish I could give you better tips... I know its so embarrassing to have pimples you cant hide.

I would recommend going to see a dermotologist, also don't use face washes for oily skin or anything like that because they just make it worse, they make you skin create more oil and they make your skin flake too which traps bacteria. I would recommend using a face wash for all skin types - e.g. boots No.7 gentle foaming face wsh for all skin types. and use a light exfoliator 1nce or twice a week - e.g. Boots No.7 Radiance revealed exfoliator for all skin types. and then also use a hydrating fluid, not a moisturising cream because that can clog pores, use something like boots no.7 advanced hydration day fluid. as you can see I am a fan of boots No.7 products, this is because they are very good quality and work very well but they aren't very expensive. also there is a boots No.7 blemish stick type thing, I think it is called calm and conceal and it has a roll-on liquid that calms the redness of spots and also a concealer in it. make sure you use make-up that isn't oil based because this will clog your pores and make you get more spots. If you go to your doctor they should put you on antibiotics which should help (you may need to pester them for it) and if this doesn't clear your skin up they should refer you to a dermotologist :)

the best way to take care of acne is to heal it first. i used to have problems with that too. try any topical cream or ointment that contains benzoyl peroxide. thats the main ingredient in proactiv however if thats too expensive for you, try out a less expensive cream its about 7 dollars at any store. clearasil ultra acne treatment cream. apply it about twice a day. remember also to use toner every day. washing your face is not enough. after washing you should buy a toner and some cotton balls and it removes the dead skin cells on the surface that block your pores that washing your face alone will not take care of. your skin produces a new layer of dead skin about every 2 weeks. don't let the problem accumulate. just keep it a daily routine and in about 2-3 weeks you'll see a major difference. also don't cake on the makeup, if so, use a natural make up like bare minerals or clinique. clinique is a very clean makeup; MAC will just worsen the problem. if you have any scars left over from your acne i recommend neutrogena visibly even cleanser. it brightens the skin and evens out your overall complexion so you don't have to go overboard with the makeup. remember to eat healthy--not too many chocolates, greasy foods, or soda. all those go straight to your skin. drink lots of water. hope this helped!

Firslty, sorry to hear about the problem! Instead of hiding the acne, try curing the. There are many fast and effective ways to do so now days. I highly recommend seeing a skin specialist or dermatologist. But for what i recommend to friends and clients, and swear by, are glycolic acid formulations and peels. Theyre very safe and speedy. Google it for all the info you might need. The obagie system is another GREAT option. I would reccomend getting professional help rather then wasting time and money experimenting with drug store brands, for the ingredients you might need in your formulations might not be concentrated enough at drugstore shelves, due to laws and regulations about the quantity allowed in drugstore products. BUT try cleansers and scrubs with salicylic acid for acne control, neutrogena pink grapefruit and clean and clear and some good drugstore brands. Hope this helps and Goodluck!

I know some kits dont work , but this is a foundation/concealer .. you can put it on like normal foundation and where you have pimples or scars put more of it on and it acts like a concealer. I have oily skin and it works wonderfully with my Body Shop Seaweed moisturizer
