We have a Coleman, electric heat pump system on a manufactured home. It is 7 years old. The entire outside unit seems to be frozen over. What is the problem? Is there any way to solve it?

I had the same problem once. He pumps have a defrost system in them. I was told that there was a problem where the defrost wasnt turning on so I believe that they replaced the thermostat.

Sounds like the defrost board inside the outside unit is defective. It would be best to call a professional since it could also be a shortage of refrigerant (freon)
