Hi.. I am trying to locate the history of the house we have now(been around since late 1800's). In the past it was a church 2 times and destroyed by fire.I am looking for info on the structure etc. I beleave there is hiding basement.May many people here have lived in or know about it.But no real info..My town is very small so it is so hard to find out things. What can I search online..etc..
Thank you

Is there a county museum or even the courthouse as a place to call or visit for information? Usually the public library (or one in the area) has information on local history. Otherwise, maybe you're the one to do the research and write the history of your house (and make sure it goes on file somewhere plus is posted on the Internet).
