Clough Mar 20, 2010, 11:21 AM Hi, kindascared! We can't diagnose you here. Your best bet is to go to a doctor. Thanks! kindascared Mar 20, 2010, 11:26 AM I just don't want to make my mom freak lol any ideas? kindascared Mar 20, 2010, 11:26 AM I just don't want to make my mom freak lol any ideas? Wondergirl Mar 20, 2010, 11:30 AM Was it a slap or a punch? Was his hand flat or a fist? kindascared Mar 20, 2010, 11:34 AM Slap Wondergirl Mar 20, 2010, 11:36 AM slap If you don't want to get your friend involved, tell your mom you must have a wax buildup in your ears or something, because your hearing has changed recently -- sometimes you can hear just fine and then your hearing, at another time, is goofed up. Or some such description.... kindascared Mar 20, 2010, 11:39 AM She won't get mad at my friend. I just want to know if this will clear up on its own Wondergirl Mar 20, 2010, 11:45 AM she won't get mad at my friend. I just want to know if this will clear up on its own Like Clough said, since we aren't doctors here and have not examined you, we don't know. Your best bet is to get a medical opinion. If your friend dislodged wax inside your ear, and the lump settled in front of your ear drum so that sound waves aren't getting through, yes, it will probably clear up once the lump moves or is cleaned out. If your friend slapped you hard enough so your eardrum got broken, no, it won't clear up by itself. 1. Do you hear popping noises in that ear? 2. Has there been any blood leaking out onto your pillow at night? 3. Has there been any blood crusting inside your ear? 4. Does that ear hurt or ache? Clough Mar 20, 2010, 11:54 AM Kindascared, is there a problem with you going to a doctor or at least a nurse? kindascared Mar 20, 2010, 12:10 PM Naw uhm wondergirl none of those symptoms just popping very little when I swallow Wondergirl Mar 20, 2010, 12:15 PM naw uhm wondergirl none of those symptoms just popping very little when I swallow Does your hearing improve once in a while, especially after you hear the popping noise? kindascared Mar 20, 2010, 12:22 PM No not really Wondergirl Mar 20, 2010, 12:26 PM I don't know how long it takes to get a doctor's appointment where you live. If your hearing isn't any better by Monday morning before you go to school, ask your mom to make an appointment as soon as possible. You don't want to mess with your hearing. My husband did when he was a kid and now is deaf in one ear. kindascared Mar 21, 2010, 07:58 AM Okay I went to a doctor and they said I had a hole in my eardrum...... Can this be fixed? Wondergirl Mar 21, 2010, 09:01 AM okay I went to a doctor and they said I had a hole in my eardrum...... Can this be fixed? How did you get a doctor appointment on a Saturday night or Sunday morning? What did the doctor tell you? Certainly you asked, didn't you? Or are you diagnosing yourself? kindascared Mar 21, 2010, 09:16 AM Walk in clinic this morning......
