The film is about love in high school, it starts with a cool group having an initiation for a guy buy jumping into water from a height. Of course the water is very shallow he gets hurt, one of the group is caught and made do voluntry work teaching kids. He sits on the bus beside a girl who does not wear attractive clothes and nicknamed the virgin mary. Her father is a priest. Needless to say he starts to like and is convinced when they kiss in a school play. The father is completely against them because she is terminally ill. Cancer I think.
