Hello,

I'm 20years olf, in Australia. I've been caught stealing by my boss and the police came to my house and sat down and had a talk. I gave them back the stolen stock and they gave me a notice to appear in court and also a time to go and get my finger prints and photo taken. Is there any idea of what will happen?

This is my first ever offence and I've done nothing wrong in the past until now. I know what I did was wrong and I'm an idiot. I don't feel sorry for myself because I was a fool to do it in the first place. The police just said I have to appear in court and it will go from there.

I was reading through some already answered questions and people are saying first time usually probation. Any ideas?

Thanks J

Of course before you confessed and gave things back ( in fact before you let the police in) you should have talked to an attorney.
