Where can I find information concerning the History of Key Sacred Texts of Judaism?and how would I teach this information to a younger person between the ages of 9-14?

Here's a good overview:
http://www.sacred-texts.com/jud/index.htm - and be sure to check out their timeline:

In my opinion, it's not too much for ages 9-14, although the latter half of that range will certainly grasp it better.
