View Full Version : Can thermostats become disconnected?

All of a sudden the second floor of my house has no heat! THe heat comes from baseboards, generated by hot water. My 1 yr old daughter may have played with a wire running from the thermostat to the floor. (My wife usually does a great job watching her!) We just bought the house a few weeks ago, and I haven't had a chance to hide the wire somehow... I really have no idea how to even look at these connections to see if that is the problem... The heat and thermostat on the first floor work just fine...

Yes they can be disconected, but need more information as to what you have before we can help. How many wires do you have that might be disconected. How many terminals on the valve.
