After 15 yrs of marriage I find myself in the position of wanting a divorce. Problem is, I have managed to amass a decent amount in my 401k plan at work whereas for the past 8 years he has not. I feel used by being the "suga-momma" in our marriage for the past 8 years. I'm no longer making the progress toward retirement as I had envisioned 15 years ago because he is holding me back. I'd rather go it alone at this point. My concern is if there is any way-any way at all-to dissolve the marriage yet keep my 401k funds without having to share with him?
